chrome_cherryCertain conversations I've had recently have made me question the sanity of writing things and making them available in the public domain. I never thought about this before because the only people who have my journal address are those I've given it to, i.e., friends. This includes a few friends who don't have lj's of their own, but pointing them to this is easier than sending out lots of long emails, and means they can ignore me more easily if they want to.
It never occurred to me that other people might find this journal, either by accident or by searching. This is because I am hopelessly naive.
Luckily I also have a deep suspicious streak, which means I've never put anything massively personal on here, and I don't think I've ever written anything about anyone which I wouldn't say to them.
So far so good, but apparently it would be better for all concerned if I made my joural friends-only. I don't really want to, it's like forcing everyone who wants to read it to get an account, but... Maybe.
